Letter from the Group Chairman & CEO, Elwy Taymour

Since the founding of Pharos Holding in 2005 by the late Dr. Mohamed Taymour, we have managed to maintain an upward growth trajectory, growing from a provider of Financial Advisory and Private Equity services into a full-service Investment Bank and a non-banking financial services provider. Today, we have a solid presence throughout the region with our headquarters in Cairo and our Dubai office, Pharos Gulf Limited; a subsidiary of Pharos Holding, regulated by the DFSA. Our regional presence, long-term strategy and seasoned financial industry professionals come together to bring world-class financial services to institutional and individual investors in Egypt and the region. We have gone through major economic shifts and organizational changes over the past few years that we have come out of unscathed and served as key elements in our growth; a testament to our ability to leverage the bigger picture to our advantage. What has come to define the essence of Pharos Holding is our team’s ability to adjust its strategy and implement it with award winning results and consistent growth over the years. Our back-to-back successes and standing in the market are primarily due to our ability to work as a team at all times, guided by our values of Transparency, Credibility, Integrity and Innovation. I take great pride in our evolution over the years, moving into new business ventures and exploring new territories. Our expansion into a non-banking financial services group only adds to our depth as an institution, stemming from a deeply rooted belief that a sustainable business model can only be achieved through a balanced and diversified growth strategy. We have expanded our regional footprint with the opening of our Dubai office, allowing us to tap into the GCC and regional markets, and ideally positioning us to fulfill our primary strategic objective of attracting and driving foreign investments into Egypt. We are firmly on our way to continue our growth through a visionary strategy, strong leadership, a dedicated team of financial professionals, and a determined approach in the implementation of our future plans.
